Our room was in the main building on the top (7th) floor. This view is from the main foyer of the building.
Here we have the main entrance where you are dropped off and picked up at registration and checkout.
I took this image of the sites that this dive shop frequents, although there are 22 different sites on this wall, there should be 23, one that has yet to be put on here is close to the #15 Train Station, that of which we didn’t go to but it was called Metro Station.
Here is a list of where we did go;
#2-Billy’s Grotto
#3-Snappers Ledge
#5-Morgans Anchor
#11-Ojay’s
#18-Barracuda Reef
Metro Station (not pinned on map)
Sandy Island (not pinned on map)

Not the biggest Barrel Coral I’ve seen, but thought it looked cool just sitting out in the open like this.
Another interesting looking form of coral I couldn’t pass up without taking a photo
No, this is not a giant clam, although in other regions I have seen some types of clams that get big, but not this big. Just another odd shaped coral.
I hadn’t seen a Barracuda under a shelf of coral before, it looks as though it were black. Looked pretty freaky and even more fearful in this position than when out swimming around, where it looks silver and skeletal like In the light.
Here we are, finally a few images of a couple different sea turtles.
You can imagine how I have the GoPro Mounted on the end of my speargun, so for me to get in there to get a shot, I have to flip the camera over.
Killed at #Sandy_Island dive site
During our visit with Sandals Grande Antigua, we killed about 25 or more
#Lionfish, here are a few of those kills on video.
Killed at #Sandy_Island dive site
Hunting these invasive creatures is our favorite thing to do when diving In the Caribbean.
Killed at #Train_Station dive site
The number of kills we’ve had in total is up there quite a bit and it still amazes me that these things just sit there when we shoot them.
Killed at #Train_Station dive site
This #Lionfish kill kind of through me off. As you can see after I released the spear for the kill, it at first appeared as though I had missed, but then the #Lionfish seemed to fall. With it being the size it “was”, one of tines from the spear had to had to have hit its air sack, causing its imminent demise. I’ve killed countless of these creatures and never seen a kill occur like this.
#Barracuda_Reef
Video of one of John’s kills
#Barracuda_Reef
Fern, our dive guide was using her tank banger to help me get this big #Lionfish in the #ZooKeeper. Spearing it in the mid section of the body does make getting in the zookeeper more of a challenge, so always be careful trying to load them in.
#Barracuda_Reef
This is a great video because after I speared my #Lionfish, I captured John as he was spearing his #Lionfish
#Barracuda_Reef
Not a small #Lionfish but I’m sure it fed someone.
#Morgan’s_Anchor
Fern pointed this one out for me and she swam off.
Sometimes it feels as though we a shooting at “fish in barrel” because they just sit there, like they are waiting to become tacos, lol
#Snapper_Ledge
Couldn’t see if this ray was eating or just chilling but it was definitely taking in the sights of us swimming by.
Okay, it is a shark, but it’s a resting Nurse Shark, so no worries….. until later when you see me dance with a Reef Shark, lol
We had seen this one at Sandy Island dive site
Now this was not the first Reef Shark we had seen but tit was the first to be this close to us. The first was too far away and with what visibility we had, there was no way to see it but, I was elated to see this one so close… but not as close as the in this next clip.
This stayed with me for quite some time and can only think that it was under the impression I had some food for it. John had recently speared a Lionfish and had it in the #ZooKeeper but he was a little ways away from me and I was between John and the shark. So I can only think the shark was picking up the scent from him thinking it was me. I still loved how the shark kept getting closer and closer with each passing.
Seen at Snapper Ledge Dive Site.
Check out this great video
Thanks to one of the dive guides, this beautiful creature was directed back toward me so I could get this great video and captured some beautiful stills.
Seen at Morgans Anchor Dive Site
This turtle seemed to be heading for someplace, he didn’t want to stick around for a chat.
This was seen at Ojay’s Dive Site
Now I’m not promoting these ad’s that you might see on these scorecards, but I’m also not banning them. I did have as pair of Birkenstock sandals, wore three for years going to the Caribbean. Then they wore out but I replaced them with a different brand all together for other reasons.
As I’ve mentioned, we do not writhe on these cards as they are for our “Wall of Golf” in our spare room. I’ll have as picture posted on here soon.
We’ve played on a course in Miami that had really large iguanas throughout the whole course. I’ve played on counot less courses that were crowded with geese and ducks…
But i do have to say, this was a first for me. A tribe of goats were in the middle of the fairway. Then all of a sudden they left. Almost as though they were trained by their owner to come home with a certain call, but we didn’t hear anything.
We were pleased that we didn’t have to worry about hitting any of them with our tee shots.
One thing we found was that the whole area was so plush and green, too it’s had been raining quite a bit recently, especially with the hurricane that came near here the week before.
The elevation on the back nine was much higher than the front nine. You can see some of the ocean to the right in the far off distsance.
This par 4, drastic 90 degree dogleg left needed an iron to get off the tee for the approach to the green.
This par 4, 6th hole, had a narrow landing in the fairway that was considerably lower than the tee box, so your tee shot had to land perfectly….
John had a long birdie putt, but he left it short.
Oh, and yes, that’d my second shot you see on the left
This whole course was beautiful. All I can say is that if you find yourself in Antigua, this course is well worth playing.
Here is a sort of time lapse clip of John’s birdie putt on the 12th hole. Although what I did was create a GIF from a handful of individual snapshots rather than use the actual time lapse option on my phone.
Even still….
Never Leave a Birdie Putt Short…. lol
