Even though we were on a cruise ship, we booked a dive excursion on our own through Blue Note Scuba Diving. The crew was really fun to hang out with and knew the area quite well.
Our first dive, at Palancar, I went down to 82’ and then lasted for 46 minutes, afterward we went to a dock for lunch and our surface time.
Our second dive at the Yucub site was as at 56’ and lasted an hour.
now these were our drop points but if you have ever been diving in Cozumel, you know these dives are drift dives.
A big thank you to our guides Joel and Lu and the rest of the boat staff.

not the widest variety of sizable fish that are in here, but it gives you an idea of what we had the opportunity to sea…(haha, sea what I did there, lol)
A Sea Cucumber and some Crustacean’s
I speared this Lionfish and cut the spines off hoping for an eel or something to feed it to but I got called to advance so I let the Lionfish go on the reef but, as it fell I saw a small fish curious as to the prospective meal.
Not the longest swim through we’ve been through but was still pretty cool, too because there isn’t a whole lot of them here in Cozumel.
